Can you get any more dramatic than this?
Leinster were leading Glasgow Warriors 31-30 in an absolute nail-gnawer at the RDS when the flood-lights went out and nobody had a single clue what to do.
Leo Cullen’s men had already secured a home PRO12 semi-final coming into their final home league fixture of the season but were playing for top spot and a handier last four draw.
Having led comfortably at the break, Leinster let their lead slip and fell behind 30-28 with just over five minutes to go.
A Rory O’Loughlin break led to a Joey Carbery penalty and the hosts edged ahead when, all of a sudden, the lights went out across the ground.

Viewers at home were watching TG4 so anyone with iffy Irish was in immediate trouble as to figuring it all out.
Fans at the ground certainly made the most of the novel experience. Dave Kelly of The Irish Independent captured this fantastic video of fans using their mobile phones for illumination:

After one unsuccessful restart of the lights, the game got underway at 9:43pm and, two minutes later, Adam Byrne carried the ball out over the sideline after a hoof and a half from prop Jack McGrath.
