The former St. Andrew’s College star was part of an all conquering Leinster side last season that picked up the PRO14 title as well as the club’s fourth Champions Cup triumph.
He has also been named in Joe Schmidt’s squad for the forthcoming November series, as Ireland looked to take top sport in the World Rugby rankings.
Larmour is nominated for the award – whose previous winners included England’s Maro Itoje – alongside South Africa winger Aphiwe Dyantyi and New Zealand prop Karl Tu’inukuafe.
The winner will be revealed at the World Rugby Awards, which take place at the Salle des Etoiles in Monte Carlo on 25 November.
