We were all expecting this, unfortunately.
Ireland captain Johnny Sexton looks to have played his final game for Leinster after the province issued the injury update we all feared this afternoon.
Sexton was injured in Ireland’s Six Nations Grand Slam win over England at the Aviva Stadium on Paddy’s weekend, and will now have to undergo a procedure to correct the groin injury he sustained.
There is a chance he might make it back, but the report states that it is “likely” he will miss the rest of the season.
