Joe Marler’s bitter, honest World Cup tweet adds further comedy to England’s exit

He's having a go at the Welsh in the midst of England's defeat to their fierce rugby rivals. He then predicted England's front row would chow down on the Wallabies but was left with penalty pie all over his face. Marler is back playing Aviva Premiership rugby, now that England have taken their leave of a competition they are still, very kindly, hosting. Yes, the World Cup rumbles on and, this weekend, four Northern Hemisphere sides - Ireland, France, Wales and Scotland - take on Southern Hemisphere nations - respectively, Argentina, New Zealand, South Africa and Australia. Still had a bit of energy left over from last night's substitute appearance against Wasps, to tweet this witticism. I'm sure the lads preparing for a World Cup quarter final, today and tomorrow, are far to focused on their matches to worry about what Joe Marler has to say. Still, we're glad he was honest.
