Jamie Heaslip’s score is up against some stiff competition for the Try of the year Award

Some stunning efforts

It’s clear what they’re looking for when the International Rugby Players’ Association decide on the shortlist for Try of the Year.

The three in the running for the 2016 award all have the commonalities of attacks that start 90 metres from the opposition’s try line, as well as fluid and quick passing en route to the score.

Ireland’s own Jamie Heaslip has been nominated for the prize for his stunning finish to the flowing move that Joe Schmidt’s men pulled off against Italy in the Six Nations.

We’re pretty confident that you remember the one.

Also in the running is Kaito Shigeno, the Japanese scrum half who touched down after a gorgeous team move against Scotland in June.

Let’s jog your memory.

And the final option comes via another number 9 as New Zealand’s TJ Perenara is also up for the honour.

Perenara was the man under the ball from an Argentina restart just last month and he was also the one who was in position to cross for five points just seconds later.

It was a beaut.

We know who we’d be voting for but who do you reckon deserves the nod?
