Another day. Another try for Jacob Stockdale.
The Ulster winger has looked at home in the Ireland jersey ever since he made his debut in November’s Guinness series against South Africa.
Since then, he’s made eight more starts for his country and has improved with each passing game. He took further strides forward next time out against Argentina and he’s really come into his own in this Six Nations’ campaign.
At only 21, the sky is the limit for the Ulster winger but he’s already proving that he was born for this stage, that he’s ready for this stage already.
Stockdale was showing all of that class again in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Ireland’s very own try scoring machine got his side off the mark with an early intercept try to settle the nerves early on.
It bore a huge resemblance to his try just two weekends ago that sealed Ireland’s victory over Wales.

With the Six Nations championship on the line, Stockdale stood up and scored a second one on the stroke of half time. That would put him ahead of Brian O’Driscoll and a host of other players and out on his own as Ireland’s record try scorer in a single Five/Six Nations championship with six to his name.
This is his first ever Six Nations campaign.
An excellent finish again, that’s his bread and butter. Pace, power, explosiveness, that’s what he’s all about.

He has 10 in 8 appearances overall.
He’s not finished yet.
