England star Jack Nowell spotted in Munster jersey, on the beers, at Thomond Park

The Exeter star hid the Munster crest when his image flashed up on the big screen.

Jack Nowell was not able to help his Exeter teammates on the pitch today, but he was cheering them on from the stands… albeit in a Munster jersey.

Nowell, who was out of the Champions Cup ‘Last 16’ encounter with an arm injury, is over in Ireland this weekend for a friend’s Stag Do. The plans included a trip down to Limerick on the train, taking in the Munster match at Thomond Park, and a night out in Dublin.

The England winger must have lost some sort of bet, on the weekend away with his mates, as he was spotted, earlier today, in full Munster gear, and hat, on the train to Limerick.

The Stag crew clearly made it to Thomond Park as Jack Nowell was picked up by BT Sport cameras as he supped on beers and took in the game.

Munster, at this stage, were leading in the match and on aggregate. Nowell must have strong faith in his Exeter teammates, though, as he was in laid-back, laughing form when he showed up on the stadium’s big screen.

Also up in the stands with Nowell were clubmates Sam Simmonds, Luke Cowan-Dickie and Don Armand, among others.

Down on the pitch, Munster were trailing 5-3 after an early Exeter try, but they responded with one of their own from Joey Carbery, who also added a penalty to give them the edge at the break.
