There are no prizes for guessing who Isa Nacewa thinks would be mad enough to try MMA.
The former Fiji international has dished the dirt on some of the personal grooming habits of his Leinster teammates.
When asked which player in the changing room had the worst personal hygiene at Unilever’s Modern Man event, Nacewa swiftly responded without hesitation.
“Definitely Mike Ross. No one wants to sit beside him. He has the changing room to himself!”
While the 32-year-old cited his club captain as the one who perhaps spends too much time on their appearance.
“Ah it’s Jamie Heaslip. He has pots of hair product everywhere.”
As for the most likely to try their hand at MMA, it will come as little surprise that the Fijian reckons Cian Healy, who’s good friends with Irish UFC fighter Cathal Pendred, would be willing to try his hand at the sport.
“Cian Healy is mad enough to get into the Octagon. He’s nuts. He’d definitely give it a go.”
With most of the key players selected in Joe Schmidt’s world cup squad, Leinster will be relying on the likes of Nacewa to steady the ship. He admitted it will be a challenge with such a depleted squad, but his motives for playing will not change.
“It’s challenging. A World Cup year always is, but I’m here to win trophies, that’s the bottom line.”
