Ireland prop Cian Healy limped off during the first-half of Ireland’s Rugby World Cup warm-up match against England on Saturday.
Healy had been performing well during the game and then just before the half-time break he was forced from the field with what appeared to be a right ankle injury.
A worrying sight for Ireland ahead of the Rugby World Cup…😰

He eventually managed to make his way to the sideline unassisted but the injury does not look great with Ireland’s opening Rugby World Cup pool game against Scotland just under a month away.
Tadhg Furlong and Healy were nailed on certainties to go barring injury with Schmidt still needing to pick another three props out of Andrew Porter, Jack McGrath, David Kilconye and John Ryan.
Schmidt previously cut Connacht prop Finlay Bealham from the squad but the door may have reopened for him if Healy is seriously injured.
Healy has a history of ankle injuries and missed the 2013 Lions tour due to an injury in that area while he also received surgery on an injured ankle in late 2013.
