Ireland face Eddie Jones' Japan today at the Aviva Stadium in the second of their Autumn Nations Series matches, with kick off at 12.40pm.
Ireland were beaten by New Zealand in Chicago last Saturday night, going down 13-26 in a disappointing second-half showing having battled well with 14 men for 20 minutes following Tadhg Beirne's sending off in the third minute.
As expected, there are a number of changes to the 23 that lost to the All Blacks, and here will be much delight among fans as Munster star, Tom Farrell, has been named at outside centre.
Caelan Doris returns to captain the side, while Jack Crowley keeps his place in the starting lineup. Rónan Kelleher, Thomas Clarkson, Nick Timoney, Craig Casey, Robbie Henshaw, and Jacob Stockdale make up the eight changes to the starting XV that face New Zealand.
Gus McCarthy, Cian Prendergast, Caolin Blade, and Jimmy O’Brien all come on to the bench.
Andy Farrell's side face Australia (November 15th) and South Africa (November 22nd) at the Aviva to round off 2025.
