Garry Ringrose is in.
Joe Schmidt has named his starting team for Ireland’s clash with Scotland in the Aviva Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The biggest decision facing Schmidt prior to this one was his replacement for Chris Farrell. The big, burly Munster centre sustained a knee injury during training recently.
Schmidt has entrusted Leinster centre Garry Ringrose with the responsibilities of replacing Farrell in midfield.
Ringrose enters the clash slightly cold with just 113 minutes of rugby under his belt since Leinster’s New Year’s Day win over Connacht.
The 23-year-old has played just six games for the province all season as he has endured an injury plagued campaign that has seen him undergo three surgeries since last summer.
His natural talent, however, is undoubted.
Meanwhile, Tadhg Furlong has recovered from a hamstring injury to replace Andrew Porter in the forwards while Iain Henderson makes his return to the bench after recovering from injury.
