Baz & Andrew’s House of Rugby – Saracens shockwaves

Patrick McCarry

“I have a feeling there are dark days ahead for Leinster… “

16 wins on the bounce, this season, a home quarter final in Europe and 16 representatives in Andy Farrell’s first squad for the 2020 Guinness Six Nations. Leinster are flying high.

The Guinness PRO14 champions and last season’s beaten Champions Cup finalists were made to work hard by Treviso, for the second time this season, at the weekend but their win guaranteed them No.1 seeding for the knock-out stages of Europe. Their reward? Hosting the side that beat them in last May’s final, Saracens.

On the latest episode of Baz & Andrew’s House of Rugby, Andrew Trimble flew the Ulster fly while clinging valiantly to the hope that Leinster could soon meet their match. Barry Murphy and Jerry Flannery, meanwhile, delved into Saracens’ impending relegation from the Premiership and looked ahead to Six Nations.

Among the topics on the latest show are:

  • Saracens heading down after salary cap breaches
  • Leinster’s rotten reward for their unbeaten run
  • Ulster’s backline looking lethal
  • Potential Ireland XV to face Scotland
