Donnacha O’Callaghan banned for two weeks after Olding kick

O'Callaghan will miss the double header with Clermont Auvergne in the Champions Cup

Munster second-row Donnacha O’Callaghan will miss Munster’s back-to-back meetings with Clermont Auvergne this month, after picking up a two match ban.

O’Callaghan was cited by citing commissioner Eddie Walsh after Munster’s win over Ulster on Firday night, after kicking through a ruck and connecting with the head of Ulster’s Stuart Olding.

Olding was forced to complete a Head Injury Assessment on the sideline, but was able to return to play.

The two week ban for O’Callaghan now means he’ll be unavailable for both of Munster’s crucial Champions Cup with Clermont in the next fortnight.
