Good God, is there no stopping this man.
CJ Stander will soon have songs written and bellowed about him if he keeps up this stunning start to his Test career.
The Munster captain has been one of Ireland’s best performers in a middling Six Nations and delivered a tour-de-force in the opening 40 minutes.
In the opening 20 minutes, Stander had carried more times [8] than the entire Scottish team [7].
By 30 minutes, the carry count was up to 12. Added to that were two defenders beaten, and offload and a remarkable try more likely to be seen in the NFL.
By half-time, Stander had gained 30 metres off an astonishing 16 carries and had beaten four Scots in full flight, and while he was less involved after the break he still finished with 22 carries for 42 yards, in addition to 10 big tackles.
Needless to say, an entire Irish nation, and admirers overseas, acclaimed the brilliant blindside.
CJ Stander is turning into one hell of a player. Continues to go from strength to strength #IREvSCO #6Nations
