Cian Healy has huge arms World Cup ambitions on his mind.
The Irish prop isn’t shying away from September’s prospects in England and he reckons he’ll be back and raring to go with the country by then, too.
Schmidt’s men will tussle with Italy and France in their group – as well as Romania and Canada – but, off the back of another Six Nations triumph, Healy says the squad are going over to the tournament to compete. With the best.
They’re going over to shake it up.
This is the Joe Show after all.
“Under the Joe Show and the attitude everyone has, I’d have no qualms in saying we’re going into it to win it,” Healy, who is recovering from a neck injury, spoke at the Aviva yesterday launching a Flexiseq Sport gel.
“There’s nothing else on our [minds]. We’ve gone from strength to strength. Every player loves being there, the environment is amazing. This Six Nations – from being on the outside and then inside – made me realise how much everyone loves that and thrives on it.
“We have a team like that, with that attitude, under the guidance of Joe, Kissy, Feeky and Simon and them, you’re going in the right direction. No one goes in to a competition to lose it.”
Just the four more months of build up so.
