At 7:34pm on Saturday, Connacht became Guinness PRO12 champions for the first time. The Kiwi centre may not have slept since.
Pat Lam’s team arrived back to Knock Airport at 1am on Saturday night/Sunday morning and spent an hour posing for pictures with fans and signing autographs. While they were at it, they all belted out Fields of Athenry.

The squad had a few hours of down time but Aki was already looking forward to the open-top bus parade:

Thousands filled the streets and squares of Galway for the victory parade before Connacht decamped to An Púcán for some thirst-quenching.
The party was already in full swing when they arrived but Aki took matters up several notches:
