Brian O’Driscoll may not have been the biggest man ever to set foot on a rugby field.
But the ex-Ireland international was superb in still being able to take down the biggest of men with perfectly timed tackles and interceptions.
And he’s brought that keen eye for cutting a man down to size to Twitter, after nailing Australian rugby player Adam Ashley-Cooper overnight
The Aussie took umbrage (ooh, fancy) at the ex-Leinster man apparently having a dig at him over moving to France to earns tonnes of cash in the Top 14 with less than glamorous Bordeaux.
Hi @BrianODriscoll. Regarding the below… I disagree. Strongly. pic.twitter.com/mUq9YY2uzv

It didn’t take long for O’Driscoll to hit back
@AdamCoopy that quote is incorrect. It should have said 'pension' instead of 'a bit of money'… And there's no shame in that!

And then the Aussie tried to land a killer punch on the former Ireland captain
@BrianODriscoll haha well i guess there's no shame in playing your last 2 seasons hanging on for cash then either?

O’Driscoll wasn’t going to take that lying down and hit back with a zinger of his own.
@AdamCoopy actuellement (French for actually) a Lions Series, a 6 Nations and two Pro12's!!! The few bob was an added bonus! #whatevs #😉

Cooper knew he was a beaten man and slunk back to his pile of cash in the south of France
@BrianODriscoll Thanks for your rugby CV mate and well done on those achievements 👍👍👍

Although one Aussie journalist disagreed
@elsom_dan I really wouldn't take it too seriously if I were you!
— Brian O'Driscoll (@BrianODriscoll) December 21, 2015
And the row rumbles on this morning with Ashely-Cooper’s brother getting involved
@biggyAC @AdamCoopy you should really just laugh at it and not take life too seriously pal!
