BBC pundit has an utterly bizarre choice for his Lions inside centre

This would be very surprising

Say that again, Jeremy?

If you thought there was too much talk about Lions selection over the past couple of weeks, then we have bad news for you.

It is only going to get worse.

But there is good news!

The squad is to be announced earlier than usual, on April 19.

So you have just over four weeks of speculation to deal with.

The Six Nations was always going to be the perfect litmus test for potential Lions candidacy and now that the tournament is finished, the picture has perhaps become a little bit clearer with regards to who will be selected.

The BBC rugby punditry team have picked their Lions XVs based on the last seven weeks of action.

There is nothing too shocking with most of the selections but our eyebrows were definitely raised once we had a glance at Jeremy Guscott’s selection.

The former England and British & Irish Lions centre has selected Ben Te’o as his inside centre to face the All Blacks.

Guscott starts off his reasoning by stating “my selection is based purely on form.”

This is an odd statement, considering Te’o only started one game for Eddie Jones’ side during that Six Nations and that was against Italy.

He was used as a replacement in each of England’s other fixtures.

Now don’t get us wrong, Te’o is a good player but we think there are a few players ahead of him when it comes to the candidates for the 12 shirt. Most notably Robbie Henshaw, Owen Farrell, bloody hell, even Scott Williams.

Take a look at his full team below.
