Catch the rugby at an experimental brewery.
Do you like rugby? Do you like trying out new beers? If so, you could enjoy some rare brews and watch Ireland take on Australia when the Open Gate Brewery opens up its doors on 9 June.
The brewery will be showing all of Ireland’s Summer Series matches, with the second match on 16 June and the final fixture on 23 June. Where better to watch Joe Schmidt’s men go into battle than in this unique brewery in the heart of St James’s Gate? If you haven’t been before, this is where Guinness gives you a chance to try out its latest IPAs, lagers and stouts.
So you could sample the experimental new brews they make in the brewery before anyone else – all while watching Ireland clash with Australia on the big screen. The current selection on offer includes the likes of Nitro IPA, Citra IPA, Nutty Red Ale, Milk Stout and Caramel Ale alongside timeless classics like Guinness Draught and Hop House 13.
This is how rugby was meant to be watched. It’s a perfect spot to see the Summer Series opener and tickets are just €8.
On arrival, you’ll be given a Pure Brew or a Nitro Coffee – perfect with the Open Gate Brewery’s signature bacon butties on offer. Hmm, bacon butties…
You’ll also get a complimentary tasting paddle so you can try a few of the experimental new offerings before deciding what you want to drink. Think of it as trials to see which new player makes it into the squad.
The venue opens at 10.30am and the game kicks off at 11am.
Sure what more could you want? Apart from an Ireland win of course.
The Open Gate Brewery is open from 5.30pm to 10.30pm on Thursdays and Fridays and from 2pm to 8pm on Saturdays. Tickets are priced at €8 each and include a tasting paddle.
