The UFC’s strawweight division isn’t exactly renowned for knockout power.
But Paige VanZant earned her second UFC finish via strikes with some ridiculously athletic stand-up in her comeback on Saturday night.
VanZant, fresh from her stint on Dancing with the Stars which saw her finish as runner-up, got back in the win column in a big way with a remarkable TKO victory over Australian opponent Bec Rawlings on the UFC on Fox 21 main card.
After a tentative opening frame, ’12 Gauge’ let rip with a gorgeous switch kick early in the second round that put Rawlings away.

VanZant faked a leg kick with her right before switching her hips and going up high with her left and, once Rawlings was hurt, the Team Alpha Male fighter pounced and finished her with ground and pound.
At 22 years old, VanZant’s future is beaming and she looks like she’s already comes on leaps and bounds after being dominated by Rose Namajunas last December.
