Watch out Ronda Rousey! Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino has struck a deal with the UFC

Welcome to the UFC, Cyborg

It looks like the women’s bantamweight division just got a new number one contender.

It emerged on Wednesday that Invicta and former Strikeforce champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino signed a deal to join the UFC two months ago.

Dana White confirmed to UFC Tonight that “Cyborg” signed for the promotion prior to her fight at Invicta FC 11 against Charmaine Tweet. However, in order for Justino to receive a title shot against the undisputed champion Ronda Rousey, she must compete at 135 lbs in Invicta.

Justino is expected to defend her featherweight belt at Invicta FC 13 on July 10 before making the cut down to bantamweight for a bout in late 2015. Assuming she makes weight and wins her bantamweight debut, “Cyborg” will make her highly anticipated UFC debut some time in 2016.

Cyborg has a professional record of 13-1, and has won every bout in devastating fashion since losing her pro debut. She also has a No Contest on her record after testing positive for a banned substance after knocking out Hiroko Yamanaka in her last Strikeforce bout.

Since cleaning up her act she has gone on to score three consecutive TKO victories, including this monstrous one…

The women’s bantamweight division just got a little bit more competitive.
