Conan O’Brien is in for a pretty tense interview the next time he has Ronda Rousey as a guest on his show.
Undisputed women’s bantamweight queen Miesha Tate made a memorable appearance on the legendary hosts’ talk show on Monday.
‘Cupcake’ had won the crowd over with her positive attitude and general soundness, but she appeared to lose them right at the end with her comments about former media darling of the UFC, her rival Ronda Rousey.

When the most famous ginger pompadour on television asked Tate about the prospect of completing her trilogy of fights against Rousey after taking on Amanda Nunes at UFC 200, she managed to bring the crowd to near-silence with her response.
“I’m at the best point of my career and she’s at the worst. So I think I bring a level of confidence. I’ve been defeated before, but I’ve come back stronger for it and I question whether she (Rousey) would be able to do the same.”
Rousey has been shunning the spotlight since Holly Holm’s seismic head kick cleaned her clock in UFC 193’s main event. While Tate expects Rowdy to return to the Octagon, she doubts that the former Olympian will be the same force that went 12-0 in professional MMA before suffering her first loss.
“I’m not saying she won’t come back, I just don’t know if she’ll come back the same. She seems awfully pouty about the loss and it’s like, we’ve all had losses, you know, you either get up and get back on the horse and come back stronger for it or you sit out for over a year.”Â
Conan, who perhaps wasn’t anticipating the trash talk, managed to squeeze a few more chuckles out of the audience with a gag before concluding the interview.
“Alright, it will be interesting to see how she responds… yeah like she’s going to call me.”
