The Colorado State Boxing Commission have seemingly waged war on fun.
The Commission have come down heavy on Justin Gaethje for his “unsportsmanlike conduct” after his latest WSOF lightweight defence against Brian Foster.
According to The MMA Report, Gaethje (16-0) has been suspended indefinitely for his trademark post-victory back-flip after knocking out Brian Foster with stinging leg kicks. That’s right, according to the CSBC, that sort of carry-on not only constitutes “unsportsmanlike conduct”, but it’s also a punishable offence.
Gaethje was given written notification from the commission prior to the bout warning him not to jump off the cage should he win, but the lightweight decided not to comply. As a result, he has been suspended indefinitely from competing, although the knockout artist believes the suspension will end sooner rather than later.
I should be off the suspension list tomorrow. The commision just wanted to tell me not to do it again in Colorado. Thank you for the support

Update: It seems that Gaethje was correct in his estimations. According to MMA Weekly, his supsension was lifted on Wednesday morning, less than 24 hours after it was implemented.
