Anyone who tuned into Victory FC 49 on UFC Fight Pass on Friday night was blessed with a legitimate contender for knockout of the year.
Raufeon Stots did not take long to take care of business against William Joplin at the Victory FC 49 event in Omaha’s Baxter Arena at the weekend.
Stots improved his professional record to a pristine 5-0 with an absolutely devastating head kick knockout that rendered the Armadillo unconscious just 79 seconds into their fight.
Joplin tried to get his boxing going early in the bout, but left his head exposed as he reached in for shots to the body and up top. Noticing this pattern, Stots decided to wind up a kick up top, which his opponent moved right into. The thunderous kick landed on the button and sent Joplin crashing down to the canvas in a heap.
Stots managed to get in a couple more shots before the referee intervened, but Joplin appeared to be out cold before he hit the mat.
Um…..Wow. Cage helped cushion the fall?? #ouch #VFC49 #UFCFIGHTPASS https://t.co/UKLj5mnixC
