WATCH: Frankie Edgar thoroughly enjoys catchy rap track calling for Conor McGregor to fight him

Hip-hop connoisseur Frankie Edgar approves of this track about Conor McGregor “ducking” him.

The former lightweight champion has kept fairly quiet after reports emerged that a rematch between McGregor and Nate Diaz would headline UFC 200 rather than a featherweight title fight featuring the Notorious.

The Answer was told after knocking out Chad Mendes inside one round that he could have whatever match-up he wants next, but his preferred Red Panty Night duel against McGregor didn’t materialise when the 145 lb champion was booked to fight Rafael dos Anjos for the lightweight strap.

When RDA pulled out with a foot injury, Edgar was unable to step in due to a groin injury and instead Diaz was booked to fight McGregor at UFC 196. Diaz handed the Dubliner his first UFC loss by submitting him in the second and now it appears as though the Notorious is getting a do-over for that fight in July.

As a response to the McGregor v Edgar fight everyone wants to see seemingly never happening, a hip-hop from New Jersey have penned a track calling out the Notorious to take on the fighting pride of the city. If nothing else, the song gave Edgar a good laugh.
