Daniel Cormier’s first words when he heard that his scheduled opponent Jon Jones had tested positive for a banned substance speak volumes about the man’s fighting spirit.
Shortly after a press conference at which both Cormier and Jones traded barbs, it emerged that ‘Bones’ had been notified by USADA of a potential violation. It resulted in the rematch of UFC 182’s main event being removed from UFC 200.
And the film crew that follows all the goings-on throughout fight week managed to capture Cormier’s live reaction (skip to the 4:14 mark to see UFC president Dana White break the news).
‘DC’ didn’t care about the banned substances detected in Jones’ sample and simply wanted to fight to cement his place as the greatest light heavyweight on the planet.
