Ouch! Late stoppage ref! He’s already out! Show mercy!
The official UFC 205 press conference went down in Madison Square Garden on Tuesday night and there’s no prizes for guessing which fighter stole the show.
That’s right, once again UFC middleweight contender Yoel Romero had everyone in stitches as he entertained the masses with his smack talk acumen, or smacumen, as it will be forever known from now on. What can we say, that chap just has natural charisma.

Of course we are kidding. It was the McGregor show in the Big Apple on Tuesday night. The fans booed lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez at every opportunity and they were even chanting “two-weight world champ” at one stage. McGregor’s trademark acerbic tongue did not let them down either.
Perhaps the highlight of the night for the Notorious ocurred during one of the two times Jeremy Stephens spoke into his mic at the presser. The knockout monster faces Frankie Edgar in a potential featherweight title eliminator bout in the featured prelim bout and he decided (foolishly) to talk some trash at McGregor’s expense by claiming he was the hardest hitter in the division.
McGregor’s response had the whole room belly-chuckling heartily.Everyone except Stephens, that is. Although we suspect he had a private giggle to himself backstage afterwards.
Everyone is looking for a shot at Conor McGregor at the #UFC205 presser! https://t.co/sHjYqD5xbH
