His head's not 100%

The undisputed UFC middleweight champion backs Conor McGregor to make history at UFC 189.

Chris Weidman, the man who’s beaten legends such as Anderson Silva, Lyoto Machida and Vitor Belfort, has giving his prediction for the most anticipated featherweight bout of the year.

The All-American thinks that McGregor has all the right attributes to cause an upset, and not only beat Aldo, but finish him.

“I love Aldo. I’m a big fan of Aldo, but I think McGregor’s winning the fight. I think he finishes him (via) TKO, second round, end of the second round.”

“Trust me, I know that the world’s going to end if he wins this fight, everyone wants to see him lose, besides the UFC, but I think he’s so big for the weight, very athletic and confident and those are the biggest attributes.”

Weidman reckons that Aldo may not be mentally prepared for the fight because of certain things that are happening in his camp.

“It does seem like a lot’s going on with Aldo. I don’t know, this drug test thing, his coach is talking about retirement, maybe his head’s not 100% in the game.”

Even though Aldo looked seriously impressive in his last bout, he sees McGregor walking away with the belt from UFC 189.

“It’s funny because I think Aldo’s coming off one of the most impressive wins of his career against Chad Mendes. I think he showed a lot in that fight, but for some reason I think he still loses this fight.”
