“It would be weird if everyone was like me.”
Robbie Lawler is known as a fighter who does most of his talking in the octagon.
Ruthless, who was out promoting his upcoming UFC 195 bout with Carlos Condit, was asked for his take on the Conor McGregor’s 194 unification bout with Jose Aldo.
Lawler’s victory over Rory MacDonald at UFC 189 was originally to be a precursor to the Aldo-McGregor bout before the Brazilian pulled out with a rib injury.
While he would only say that the best fighter, between Aldo and McGregor, the 33-year-old was very complimentary about the Irishman.
He commented, “Conor’s part of the new wave, bringing a whole country with him… McGregor has done a great job of talking himself up and backing it up with his fighting.
“He’s a guy that goes out there and performs, knocks people out, finishes people, and hypes it up. People want to see him.”
“Conor is a guy who has talked it and walked it,” Lawler declared.
