Conor McGregor is not a small man.
Standing 5 ft 9 in and presumably weighing around 162/163lbs at last night’s press conference, you wouldn’t consider him an easy man to shift.
Especially considering the fact that he had seen red and was rapaciously attempting to get his hands on opponent Eddie Alvarez, it seemed like it would be a rather difficult task to tame ‘The Notorious’.
At one of the wilder pre-fight press conferences, McGregor appeared to have genuinely considered hurling a folding chair in the direction of the defending UFC lightweight champion before security intervened.

Cue the hero of the night.
A security guard in a grey jumper took to the stage and in one fell swoop removed the chair and the kicking and screaming McGregor from the situation.
His right hand grasped the black piece of metal and pulled it away and, in his burly left, he took the reigning UFC featherweight champion.
And all of a sudden, the furious McGregor was made to look like a stubborn child as he was forcibly dragged away in the clutches of a heavy who certainly earned his paycheck on Thursday night.
