If anyone had any doubts as to how legitimate Nick Diaz’s bad-ass image is, let them be dismissed.
Rare footage emerged yesterday of the middleweight involved in a very raw, very early MMA fight.
The grainy video shows Diaz exhibiting the seeds of his grappling skills as he submits his unrecognisable opponent with a guillotine choke after five minutes but his striking looked on point before the finish too.
The clip was made public with less a month to go until the 26-9-1NC fighter meets MMA legend and arguably the greatest of all time, Anderson Silva, at UFC 183.
We’re pretty sure that Diaz has tightened up his technique since the recording of the video but it just goes to show that he was never going to be anything other than a fighter.
