The SBG head coach weighs in his opinion on the headline bout between Conor McGregor and Dennis Siver at UFC Fight Night 59
Kavanagh seems to share McGregor’s confidence that the German spinning back-kick specialist will be no match for “The Notorious” inside the Octagon.
He claims that Siver’s compact frame is not suited for a technical opponent such as McGregor and that the German would match up better against a brawler or a grappler.
Kavanagh called into question Siver’s ability to eat strikes, citing how unimpressive he’s looked in his last few trips to the Octagon, and deduced that he is likely to get hurt in the early exchanges with the Dubliner.
He was particularly unimpressed by Siver’s last bout against promotional newcomer Charles Rosa, implying that allowing a debutant to go the distance took away from the decision victory.
He doesn’t see Siver lasting too long in this bout and predicts McGregor will send him crashing to the canvas with a head kick within the opening two minutes.
