Donald Cerrone is not your average fighter.
He is very partial to downing a Budweiser and is shockingly honest when it comes to breaking down his fights. Most fighters do neither.
Cerrone (26-6-1NC) was a minute away from being awarded the most unanimous of unanimous decisions over Myles Jury on Saturday night but “Cowboy” is not one to play it safe.
With the then-undefeated Jury on his back, Cerrone decided to punish his opponent because the fight did not live up to the expectations that the former WEC fighter had.
“Cowboy” unleashed the most vicious leg kicks that we’ve ever seen and we’re still wincing after watching it.

After the fight, Cerrone said “Oh, the fuck you kicks? That’s what happened,”
“I was trying to kick to either break my leg or his. I was very upset.”
The win is the sixth in a row for Cerrone who must surely be in the frame for a 155lb title shot but that didn’t stop the Colorado native from being disappointed with his display in the bout.
“I’m upset with my performance, and I’m going to go watch the tape and figure out what I need to do to capitalize if that happens again,” he added.
“I’m very upset for the performance I put in tonight, and I apologize to everyone that was watching and the hype that was behind all that.”
“I’m a guy that doesn’t like hearing boos,” Cerrone said.
“My legacy is I want to be fighting my ass off all the time, so I don’t consider that a win.”
You have to respect that.
