The only things surviving on this earth after a nuclear explosion will be cockroaches and Roy Nelson.
The plus-sized UFC heavyweight didn’t manage to get the nod when his fight with Derrick Lewis went the distance on Thursday night.
Rather than engage in a brawl with Lewis, ‘Big Country’ opted for a more cerebral gameplan and displayed a grappling-heavy strategy.
After a close first round, Nelson clearly took the second in the co-main event of UFC Fight Night 90.
But the fire lit under Lewis’ ass before the third round clearly worked as ‘The Black Beast’ pursued the finish in the dying seconds.
It didn’t happen in the end but that wasn’t for a want of trying as Nelson somehow withstood a haymaker that would have put down literally 99% of the heavyweights on the UFC roster.
