Aisling Daly has set down a tonight at UFC Dublin.
The straw-weight has the first home win of the night in the 3Arena and after Cathal Pendred’s disappointment has once again given the crowd something to cheer.
But it wasn’t easy as she was tested to her limit against a tricky opponent in Erika Almeida.
The Dubliner was forced to go the distance in the fight, but after a strong intro, she was tactically too cute for her opponent, and when she got her body in the right positions she made her Almeida pay with some damaging blows to the head, face and body.
We didn’t get the finish we were hoping for, but we got the result that everyone in the 3Arena, and we’re sure all Irish fans wanted.
The only way is up for ‘Ais the Bash.’
The fans certainly think @aisydaly won that one at #UFCDublin. You? https://t.co/6CCThTLtFx
