Hague was 34 when he passed away.
The fighter had been in critical condition in a Canadian hospital after his knockout loss to Adam Braidwood at Shaw Conference Centre in Edmonton. Although Hague had 34 pro MMA fights, including five in the UFC, this was a boxing bout.
Braidwood knocked Hague down several times during the fight and when he eventually knocked him out, Hague remained out on the canvas for several minutes before eventually leaving the ring.
However, he after being brought to hospital it was discovered that something wasn’t quite right, according to reports from teammates.
Hague’s MMA career will be best remembered for his stunning first round submission victory over Pat Barry in his UFC debut at UFC 98.
