A gut-churning injury to a UFC fighter? Stop the presses!
It’s unsurprising that one of the most violent sports in the world produces some of the most disgusting injuries ever seen.
However, what is somewhat surprising about MMA is that it often feels like the worst cuts, gashes and broken bones seem to happen outside of the ring, cage, Octagon or whatever the promotion’s battleground of choice is.
For proof of this, look no further than UFC light heavyweight Ed Herman who felt compelled apologise for ‘grossing everyone out’ over an injury photo he sent his week.
Ya sorry for grossing every one out think I was still in shock lol https://t.co/XzfRXhXacu

We know what you’re thinking, there’s no way an injury could be that horrific. You’ve seen the worst of them before, you’re probably way too desensitised to get upset over something as minuscule as a missing fingertip.
He explained that he lost the tip of his finger trying to fix a well. It didn’t go so well (badumtish!) for him and his hand ended up getting sucked in some place where it shouldn’t have gone before reappearing with a notable absentee.

If that didn’t get you, perhaps a more bloody photo will be enough to make you taste your breakfast for a second time today.
