Irish MMA legend Neil Seery will make his last walk to the cage at UFC Glasgow on Sunday.
Neil Seery (16-12, 3-3 UFC) takes on Alexandre Pantoja (17-2, 1-0 UFC) on the preliminary card going down in the SSE Hydro Arena. It will mark the last time Seery ever fights in MMA, ending a 29-fight career spanning 12 years.
“2 Tap” enters into his retirement fight off the back of a lionhearted loss to former UFC flyweight title contender Koji Horiguchi, while Brazilian Pantoja is undefeated in seven years.
However, while Seery has been competing with the cream of the UFC’s crop, this will mark Pantoja’s sophomore bout in the promotion following his split decision win over Eric Shelton at UFC on Fox 23 in January.

When he first started out in the sport, flyweight divisions didn’t even exist, but being the smaller man inside the cage never fazed ‘2 Tap’. He fought his way through the ranks to become the inaugural Cage Warriors flyweight champion and eventually get that coveted call from the UFC.
He took Brad Pickett to the brink in his promotional debut, dropping a unanimous decision in One Punch’s hometown. He followed this up with impressive back-to-back wins over Phil Harris and Chris Beal respectively. He bounced back from a gruelling loss to Louis Smolka with a performance of the night victory over Jon Delos Reyes in Dublin.
To mark Seery’s last ever fight inside the Octagon, UFC Europe released a wonderful video tribute to the man himself.
