It looks like the American Gangster could potentially be swapping wrestling for the fake stuff pretty soon
While the former UFC light-heavyweight and middleweight contender is still banned from competing inside an Octagon, he could be on his way to the WWE.
In a recent interview with “Off The Record,” Sonnen revealed that both he his bitter rival Wanderlei Silva will be attending WrestleMania 31 to hold talks with the big wigs of the wrestling promotion. He explained that he had no idea whether the Axe Murderer would be in attendance or what the focus of the meeting would be about but he confirmed that he would definitely be going to the event.
I got a call from WWE, They said, ‘Look, we have a Hall of Fame show in March. If you want to come out, we want to talk to you about some stuff. They laid out at that.
If they are buying me a plane ticket and they’re giving me a ticket to the show, I do enjoy that product,
I don’t know what we are talking about, but I’ll give you a little bit of a scoop: Wanderlei Silva was also invited. I don’t know if he’s accepted and I don’t know if the two are related, but there you go.

Sonnen and Silva were coaches on TUF Brazil 3 and had a pretty public feud with each other. The most famous confrontation between the two was the infamous brawl on the reality TV show, that you might recognise from the several billion promos the UFC ran for that season.
Unfortunately the two never had the chance to throw down inside the Octagon after both were at the centre of drug-test related scandals. Wanderlei was ruled out of the bout after refusing to take a random pre-fight drug test. Meanwhile, Chael P was essentially forced to retire after failing multiple drug tests.
