Seemingly, UFC fighters can’t even remember to go to the bathroom without Burt Watson.
UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman defended his belt in stunning fashion at UFC 187 last weekend. The All American scored an impressive TKO victory over Vitor Belfort in the co-main event in Vegas.
However, the undisputed champ admitted that he almost shat himself before walking out to the Octagon on Saturday night. He revealed that he had forgotten to do his pre-fight poop, in a recent appearance on the MMA Hour, and that’s why he looked so ill walking out to the cage.
“I’ll be honest with you, it was my first time ever I had to go to the bathroom bad, and I’m like ‘I cannot believe it’s going to happen. I’m going to crap myself in the middle of this cage.’
“As soon as Vitor’s walkout music came on, all I could think about was ‘I don’t know whether I should let this happen now or hold it, I don’t know what’s going to happen.’ That’s really what was going through my mind the whole time.”
“I didn’t want to say it out loud, so I remember when we were getting ready to do the walkout I gave Ray the flag to hold because I was just trying to focus on not crapping myself, pretty much.”
The sooner the UFC find an adequate replacement for Burt Watson, the better.
