This was the last thing the UFC needed.
Reports are emerging on Tuesday evening that Chris Weidman has pulled out of his fight against Luke Rockhold with an injury.
The fight, scheduled for UFC 199 in Las Vegas on June 4, was a rematch after Rockhold claimed the middleweight title when he stopped Weidman at UFC 194 in December.
Weidman’s as yet unspecified injury is being reported by Jeremy Botter on FloSport and was also reported by Twitter user TalkMMA.
If what I'm hearing is true, I hope Jacare is ready. Rumor is Weidman is injured and could be out of #UFC199.

Coming so shortly after Conor McGregor’s self-inflicted withdrawal from UFC 200, and injuries forcing late changes to main events on high profile cards such as UFC 194 and UFC 189, the news, if true, will be a bitter blow to Dana White.
Neither fighter, nor the UFC has yet to confirm the story, so there is no word yet as to whether or not someone will replace Weidman or whether Urijah Faber and Dominick Cruz will become the headline fight.
Ronaldo ‘Jacaré’ Souza has been mentioned as a possible replacement.
