Twitter was like a dog with a bone that tasted like betrayal.
We are now coming to terms with the fact that Conor McGregor will not be fighting Jose Aldo for the UFC world title, in Las Vegas, on July 11.
The world champion’s damaged ribs have caused him to pull out of the much-hyped fight and left McGregor with an interim title bout with Chad Mendes.
Needless to say, after all the glitz, glamour and air miles about the UFC ‘Flight of the Year’, folks are not happy. Luckily, Twitter is always on hand to listen.

McGregor’s Straight Blast Gym stable-mate Cathal Pendred had two simple words to sum up the late withdrawal.

Hate Jose Aldo pulled out of the fight against McGregor. That was going to be one for the books no doubt! #UFC189 just lost its hype.
