Jon Jones is out. Brock Lesnar and Mark Hunt is the new main event. Daniel Cormier will learn his fate soon enough.
UFC 200 became another victim of a late re-jig, on Wednesday night, when Jones was pulled from the main event after being flagged for an anti-doping violation.
Jones will have the right of appeal but the UFC brass are not taking any chances. Lesnar vs. Hunt is the new headliner.
The event had Ronda Rousey vs. Miesha Tate linked as a co-main and had Conor McGregor’s rematch with Nate Diaz as the headliner until the Irishman refused to take part in an extensive press junket. It was smooth sailing for about six weeks thereafter but UFC president Dana White got a call from USADA last night and Jones was quickly pulled.
Jones insists he is not a drugs cheat and will fight any sentence imposed on him. Whether or not that appeal is successful, ‘Bones’ definitely won’t be on the fight card.
In case there was any doubt about that, this bleak image from MMA Fighting’s Marc Raimondi confirms that the show is going on without the P4P king.

We’ll still tune into UFC 200 but much of the lustre has, like Jones, been removed.
