Five months since tapping out to a rear naked choke, McGregor’s will would not be broken as he came back from the brink to paint his second wind all over Diaz’s face.
‘The Notorious’ invested in leg kicks earlier and they returned profitably in the later rounds as Diaz lost the pop on his striking as McGregor did enough in two judges’ estimations to be considered a victor.
Some of their fellow colleagues actually scored the bout for the Stockton fighter.
