It would seem that Jose Aldo isn’t the only litigious Brazilian MMA fighter.
Now that pretty much the entire bantamweight division has been cleaned out ( barring Holly Holm pulling a Dillahsaw), there is really only one opponent left that fans want to Ronda Rousey fight next.
No, not Floyd Mayweather, but former Strikeforce featherweight champion Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino seems to be the only challenger left that could dethrone Rousey.
After her phenomenal 34-second knockout victory over Bethe Correia at UFC 190, Rousey was asked whether she would like to face Miesha Tate or Cyborg next. Her response was enough to rub recent UFC recruit Justino the wrong way
“I prefer to fight who makes weight and doesn’t do drugs. She can fight at 145 pumped full of steroids or she can make the weight just like everybody else without them.”
“Cyborg” has a No Contest on her record after testing positive for stanozolol (anabolic steroid)after knocking out Hiroko Yamanaka in her final Strikeforce bout. She explained to the undisputed champion on Twitter that her lawyers will be in touch over the comments.
I pass the same exams @rondarousey takes to prove she's clean for the same company #zuffa. #drugfree @ufc pic.twitter.com/raewuqYdbH
