There’s not much room left for fights on the UFC 196 card.
The 11th bout has been added to the March 5 event and, in all likelihood, there’s only space for one more.
A featherweight bout between Julian Erosa and Teruto Ishihara has been scheduled for the prelims of next month’s card.
Erosa, a cast member of season 22 of The Ultimate Fighter, won his first official UFC bout when he beat Marcin Wrzosek by split decision at December’s TUF finale.
Teruto Ishihara will be hoping to earn his first promotional victory after drawing his UFC debut against Mizuto Hirota in Japan.
UFC 196 is headlined by a lightweight title fight between Rafael dos Anjos and Conor McGregor, with the women’s 135 lb title on the line in the co-main event as Holly Holm aims to defend her belt at the first time of asking when she takes on Miesha Tate.
The average number of fights on the five last UFC pay-per-views is 12 so we’re not anticipating more than one more addition to the card that now looks like this.
Rafael dos Anjos vs. Conor McGregor – for lightweight title
Holly Holm vs. Miesha Tate – for women’s bantamweight title
Corey Anderson vs. Tom Lawlor
Erick Silva vs. Nordine Taleb
Darren Elkins vs. Chas Skelly
Jim Miller vs. Diego Sanchez
Marcelo Guimaraes vs. Vitor Miranda
Amanda Nunes vs. Valentina Shevchenko
Ilir Latifi vs. Gian Villante
Jason Saggo vs. Justin Salas
Julian Erosa vs. Teruto Ishihara
