Felice Herrig is preparing for one of the biggest fights of her life at UFC 229 against Michelle Waterson. A fight that could determine who challenges “Thug Rose” next for the strawweight strap.
Despite the fact she is preparing to fight on the biggest card of the year, a card so big because of Conor McGregor’s involvement. The female fighter has never hidden the fact that she does not like the controversial Irish man.
Herrig was a participant at UFC 223 in April which is widely remember due to McGregor and his entourage attacking a bus load of UFC fighters.
Thankfully for “Lil Bulldog” she was on the other bus on the night of the event, but she was the first to capture footage of McGregor in action.

Herrig was very vocal in her criticism of McGregor after the incident, telling TMZ sports; “Whether he thought about it consciously or not, he put all the fighters and their corners… he put our lives in danger.”
She has been quite vocal about her dislike of the SBG fighter since the event and has came in for a lot of online abuse from fans because of her hard line stance towards the Irish man.
Now, Herrig is set to fight on a McGregor card, which means she may come face to face with him.
During an interview with MMA fighting she addressed the criticism from McGregor fans head on.
“I think it’s just because people, they will just follow him blindly.
“Like, he’s the kind of person who could be a cult leader and have all these little minions.
“The people who get pissed at me are his little minions who would kiss his feet. So that’s why I get hate.”
The strawweight contender is unperturbed by the abuse and the possibility of coming across the Irish man this week given all she has said.
“I don’t care. What he did was wrong. I still think he’s a piece of shit and I’m always going to think he’s a piece of shit.”
