According to Russian MMA fans, Conor McGregor does not deserve the next title shot.
Many of the MMA cognoscenti (outside of Ireland, obviously) have argued that Frankie Edgar deserves to take on Jose Aldo for the UFC belt next. The American wrestler outclassed top-ranked featherweight Cub Swanson in Texas earlier this month, finishing the striker with an incredibly late submission.
However, the UFC have hinted that Conor McGregor is the logical number one contender in the division, arguing that the Dubliner is the only fighter in the top five who hasn’t lost to the current champ.
It turns out that the Russian MMA community thinks that has now earned the next title fight after his dominant display over Swanson, as this poll tweeted by top-ranked lightweight Khabib Nurmagomedov shows.

Let’s hope the UFC don’t agree with this one. The dreams of a McGregor title fight in Dublin in 2015 might not actually happen.
