It’s hard to tell what kind of reception Ronda Rousey is going to get when she makes the walk to the octagon on Saturday night.
Fighting Brazil’s Bethe Correia, you’d expect the Rio crowd to volley some abuse her way as she enters the cage.
But, as we have seen throughout fight week, Rowdy is seemingly just as popular as her upcoming opponent in Brazil as fans have flocked to take photographs with the iconic women’s bantamweight champion.
And she clearly appreciates the Brazilian fight fans as she has a special plan for her belt after the main event of UFC 190 regardless of the result.
“Bethe did have one thing right,” Rousey said after yesterday’s open workouts. “She said that the Brazilian people deserve to have the belt left here. So I’ve decided that after I win it, I’m going to make sure that when I have the belt, I don’t take it home with me. I’m going to give it and make sure that it stays someplace in Brazil as my gift.”
It’s no wonder that Rousey is currently the biggest star on the UFC roster because not only is she freakishly talented and stunningly beautiful but she has the kind of class that you don’t often see in the fight game to go along with those traits.
