Conor McGregor will be donning a pair of fight shorts unlike any we’ve seen inside the Octagon since the Reebok deal was signed.
Since UFC 194 marks the first interim title fight since the Reebok deal was struck, there was some confusion over how they would deal with the fight kits for both fighters.
Under the sponsorship deal, the champion wears black shorts with a gold trim while the challenger wears white shorts. However, since both fighters are belt-holders, the UFC changed things up for this fight.
Aldo will indeed be wearing the champions shorts, but Conor will be wearing a special pair of green shorts, according to the UFC’s official website. McGregor had dropped some hints about wearing custom-shorts or the fight on an episode of the MMA Hour.
